For the first outfit you should wear what we refer to as the "Parent
Pleaser" That means something
classic that will not be out of style in just a few years. Remember, you will
want to enjoy your portraits for a long time. This is the outfit that the portrait
for your home will most likely be taken from. You may want to discuss it with
your parents and decide which room the portrait will be displayed in, and pick
up some of the colors used in that room for the outfit that you decide to wear.
Many guys use a Suit Jacket for the Parent Pleaser Photograph,
but you do not have to. Sweaters and
shirts also look great. Medium to darker colors look best although a white shirt
underneath looks great.
Bold Colors
Leather or Letter Jackets
Long Sleeves
Sweaters (solid or subtle colors)
Make sure you have a fresh Shave!!
Five o'clock shadows are almost impossible to retouch.
If you plan to have a haircut, try to schedule it at least one
week prior to your session.
That is especially important in the summer when a fresh haircut may reveal tan
lines
Make sure to dress head to toe. Bring all accessories for each
outfit.
shoes...socks...belts...ties...etc.....
We will not force you to do anything that you do not want to
do, but remember your friends and family
probably see you as a smiler and that is what they want to see in the picture.
We generally do 70% smiles and 30% serious pictures for guys unless you request otherwise.
If it is your choice not to smile, you automatically relieve the studio of the responsibility for additional views your parents might request because of a lack of a smile
WE HEAR OFTEN from a large majority of guys that they had more fun at their session than they ever expected, so leave your worries at home and be prepared to enjoy yourself.
THANK YOU and SEE YOU SOON !!
